Amethyst Research Incorporated
Two-color Mid-Wave Infrared (MWIR) LED Array Infrared Scene Projector (IRSP)
Amethyst Research Incorporated develops solid-state, light-emitting-diode (LED) infrared scene projector arrays that project realistic, dynamic infrared scenes to test heat-seeking sensors. Offered in single-color and two-color versions across the mid-wave infrared (MWIR) and long-wave infrared (LWIR) bands, the technology far outperforms today’s heated-resistor projectors in brightness, speed, and realism. Its most advanced version emits two infrared wavelengths independently from every pixel with minimal interference, enabling far more realistic indoor (hardware-in-the-loop) testing of missile seekers and missile-warning systems for the U.S. Navy and Department of Defense. A Phase I effort demonstrated feasibility and validated performance. We seek defense customers, prime and integrator partners, and a qualified production supply chain to mature, scale, and field infrared scene projector and sensing systems.
Solid-state LED infrared scene projectors—single-color and two-color, mid- and long-wave—that project realistic, dynamic scenes for testing missile seekers and warning sensors. Brighter, faster, and more realistic than heated-resistor arrays. Seeking customers, partners, and a production supply chain.
